Having previously worked as an employment solicitor at a global law firm, Demi has extensive experience of working closely with clients across various sectors to assist them in achieving their goals. As an EDI Consultant at The Equal Group, she enjoys helping organisations to obtain the skills and knowledge that they require to drive sustainable and effective change. 

During her career in law, Demi was an advocate for EDI in the workplace and within the wider legal profession. She was an active member of all inclusion and diversity resource groups spanning UK, European and Australian offices at the firm, believing wholeheartedly in the importance of taking an all-encompassing approach to EDI that includes considering intersectionality. She has also been a speaker at a wide variety of careers events for local educational institutions and organisations such as The Sutton Trust and Legal Cheek. 

<span id="test" class="kool-class" style="color: #00c0c3;" fs-test-element="test">Demi is passionate about actions which break down socio-economic barriers, in particular those which inspire and enable individuals with diverse backgrounds and lived experiences to consider, enter and thrive in careers that they may not have otherwise pursued.</span>

Based in Birmingham, Demi studied Law at the University of Birmingham obtaining a First Class Honours Degree and an award for being the highest achieving student in the CEPLER Employment Law Module. She completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at BPP Law School and carried out her training contract before qualifying as a solicitor, most notably, being awarded the Birmingham Law Society Gold Prize in relation to her LPC results and winning the Trainee Solicitor of the Year Award at the Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards.
