Junior Project Manager (Kickstart)

The junior Project Manager will support in managing client projects. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of the project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project. The PM will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. They will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and will hire new talent as needed to fulfil client needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the successful execution of projects and meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.

Also, will help to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget and assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Additionally, you will ensure resource availability and allocation and develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.

Your responsibilities will also include the management of changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. As well as creating and maintaining a reporting cycle to report progress to stakeholders. You will also measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and report and escalate to management as needed. It is important that you manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders and are able to identify and maintain project RAIDs and actions log. 

Additionally, you will create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and delegate project tasks based on staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels. As well as meeting budgetary objectives and adjusting to project constraints based on financial analysis and developing spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.

Essential skills, experience and qualifications

A person with excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills, that is able to demonstrate the ability to deliver tangible operational outcomes with a results driven mentality. Have empathetic and positive attitude to engaging with clients and helping them exceed their goals. It is essential to be driven, self-motivated, resilient, enthusiastic and deeply committed to EDI.

Also have experience building and maintaining positive (senior stakeholder) relationships and have exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Have a high level of attention to detail and conscientiousness, as well as strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into insights. 

You must be comfortable in a start-up environment, with the ability to move quickly and wear many hats. A background in management consulting and/or project management will be beneficial. If you have a degree is preferred but not essential for this role. It is vital that you are passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion and want to make a positive difference to this world.
